What is WATCH D.O.G.S.®?

WATCH D.O.G.S.® is a family and community engagement initiative aimed at involving fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father-figures in the school environment.

Two Core Goals:

1. Positive Role Models: Show students that education is important through daily presence.

2. Safe & Supportive Schools: Provide extra eyes and ears to enhance school safety and deter bullying.

A Day in the Life of a WatchDOG

Here’s what your volunteer day might include (There are FULL and HALF day programs):

  • Morning check-in and photo with your child

  • Classroom support: reading, flash cards, and more

  • Recess and lunch duty (and fun!)

  • Hallway and perimeter monitoring

  • Help with student arrival and dismissal

  • End the day with a high-five from your happy kid

We invite all dads and father-figures to volunteer at least one day per school year. It’s simple to sign up and makes a huge impact.
